Vincent from Patterson, CA
« on: September 03, 2014, 07:33:28 PM »
Hi,
This is Vincent from Patterson, CA.  I purchased the 28 GA precut from Chuck.  Soon I will start working on the GA in my extended garage.  I am trying to build the GA so I can replace my current two boats (Boston Whaler 17 & Yamaha 212X).  I am sure that I will need a lot of help from all of you here.  Thanks in advance.  Vincent

Welcome aboard, neighbor!  I'm over in Modesto.

You're a little ahead of me...I'm probably a year or so out from starting.  Just bought a shop that will be perfect.  Perhaps you will be done when I am ready to start.  I am very excited for you...

Thanks everyone.  I got the GA 28 kit from Chuck in Oregon couple weeks ago.  Chuck and his staff were very helpful.  They helped to load the kit on my truck.  The stringers were too long and Chuck offered to give me free delivery when one of his trucks goes to S. Cal.  I got the stringers.  Thanks again to Chuck and his staff.  Currently I am building a 10'x20' storage space in the back of my house to store the junks from car garage.  Expecting to get it done next week.  I ordered some Marinepoxy, fiberglass tape, etc....  Hopefully I will start to work on the boat within two weeks.  I went to Half Moon Bay and saw many boaters with full buckets of Dungeness crabs.  I told myself that by the end of next year it would be my turn to catch Dungeness crabs.  I'll be asking for your help soon.   Thank you in advance.  Vincent

Hi Vincent, congratulations on buying the kit.  I bet it will save you a months of work, maybe more.  It seems like I spent all summer cutting and assembling, the bottom of my Widebody.

You are partially correct.  I am experiencing some problems with the pre-cut kit at the moment.  :(
