General Discussion about the Great Alaskan / Choice materials

Well, life happened and my build got stopped before it was even started. Then covid happened and now prices for materials are completely different and not as easy to find With that being said, where have you been finding your materials? for expoxy, who are you going with, and in what order would you rate them (best to worst). For plywood, which species would you go with (order of preference). Hell, I'm looking at maple plywood and the price is somewhat cost effective right not but I can't get a definitive answer on whether it would work or not (safe for hull material). As for wood material choices, I've mainly been looking at Lowes and home Depot (convenient location mainly). I can't build my boat yet, but I can still dream and plan. Thanks in advance.

Good day all. I have a question about the recommended horsepower rating for the outboards. Is the recommendation based off of the weight of the outboard, the design of the hull (bouyance and handling), strength of the transom itself, the actual thrust of the outboard or is it all of the above? Thanks in advance.
